English: Gerund

·        What is gerund?

gerund is a noun made from a verb by adding "-ing". Gerunds are flexible to use in normal talk. They allow you to talk about an action in an easy way. And because they act like nouns, you can use them anywhere that a noun would normally in a sentence.

It also acts as direct object, indirect object, and objects of the preposition.

Example: Running is fun.

                I like dancing.
